Oneway Vari-Grind 2 Attachment (without base) for the Wolverine Grinding Jig. The Wolverine Vari-Grind will properly shape and maintain the edge on standard bowl gouges, the modern side grind (also known as the Ellsworth grind, Liam O'Neil, or Irish grind), and the traditional fingernail shape for spindle work detailing.
Oneway has set the standard for sharpening jigs with the Wolverine system. Your woodturning shop is not complete without the Wolverine system as part of your grinder setup. The Vari-Grind is the industry standard Jig for properly shaping a fingernail or swept back grind on a gouge.
Features:- Oneway Model #3900
- Vari-Grind 2 Grinding jig for the Wolverine Sharpening System (without base)
- This single jig will produce every shape from fingernail grind right up to the side grind and everything in between to suit your needs
- The side or long grind on deep fluted bowl gouges is superb for rapid hollowing, is useful on the outside of bowls, and is suitable for some spindle work
- To sharpen the tool, the end of the Vari-Grind is placed into the pocket of the Vee-Arm of the Wolverine Grinding Jig. This allows the proper bevel to be set, and provides a steady and reliable means of grinding tools
- This Oneway Attachment not only allows you to get complete control of your grind, but you can easily duplicate the same grind.

I've been using the original vari-grind for years but have always been interested in the VG2. After setting it up and using it on a practice tool I found it to be a pretty stable and straight forward jig. There aren't a lot of pre-calculated settin
Keep in mind that as with the VG1, this jig is generally NOT for skews and scrapers, there is another attachment for that.
