The Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Tipped Detailing Tool is an economical, tough and reliable option when it comes to carbide woodturning tools. This set comes with everything you need to get started, including the tool and a durable carbide insert. No need for an expensive grinder, CBN wheel or other sharpening accessories; just open the box and start turning! Once an edge starts to dull, simply loosen the screw and rotate to a fresh edge.
Each tool features an ergonomically designed solid beech handle with a 3/8 inch chrome-plated steel barstock providing both durability and comfort. Ideal for turning wood, acrylic, resin and a variety of other materials on a wood lathe, Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Tipped Detailing Tools feature a #4-40 screw, making them comparable to many other major brands. In fact, you can use virtually any carbide cutter replacement so long as it has a #4-40 screw, is 28mm x 10mm (diamond) and 2.5mm thick.
