A good workout
First of all let me say that I am biased when it comes to Hurricane tools. I have used them for a few years and they have really performed well for me. I find them better than entry level. I needed to replace my old diamond parting tool that wasn't hhs and didn't hold an edge. I wanted one that would last since a parting tool isn't hot use. I was impressed with this tool. The fit and finish is great. The tool was sharp, but of course I had to touch it up. I used it on end grain, parted off a few pieces. Then I just drove it into a piece to see how it would hold an edge and it did a very nice job and held up. I am not wealthy, I'm retired, and turn for a hobby. I want to get as much bang for my buck as possible. That is why I use Hurricane tools. I'm a perfectionist, and pleased with this parting tool. Oh, you can't beat the price for this quality. I can't wait to wear out a bowl gouge and try a cryogenic one. Jim
