Hurricane Turning Tools 1 1/2" Left Side Curved Scraper made from High Speed Steel with Solid Beech Handle
Standard Series tools are made from High Speed Steel to our specifications in one of the world's largest turning tool factories and have been heat treated to give excellent performance under the rigorous demands of woodturning. They are designed for the beginning to intermediate woodturner but are also great for experienced turners that want a high quality HSS tool at an affordable price. Our Standard Series has excellent edge holding ability and will last 8x longer between sharpenings as compared to carbon steel. They come fitted into a solid beech handle of the proper length for each type of tool. In addition to the high-quality steel, Hurricane Tools have extra long handles, some as long as 16 inches. We recommend CBN grinding wheels for outstanding results. Consider purchasing several of the same type and modifying the shapes/grinds to suit a variety of woodturning applications.

- Used to cut wood at a blunt angle. Scrapers will not produce a finish that is as good as a gouge, but are useful in many situations where cutting with a gouge would be difficult or a fine finish is not required.

21/2" left hand scraper
The tool works like a charm . I love it, but unfortunately I bought it to big, I would love to get a nother one only smaller , like a 1" for the size of work I do. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't be turning bigger things. Thanks Rick B.

1 1/2 Scrapper
Right out of the box this was ready to go. I love the bulk and width of it. It is easy to sharpen and stays sharp along time even longer then other scrappers I had. Not only is the price great but the tool is superb and more then worth the money at twice the cost. Hope to get all of their tools and give them out to the disabled vets I teach.

Left Side Curved Scraper
Very pleased with this tool! Arrived undamaged and quite sharp! Very robust and comfortable to use, In addition Steve's videos on how to sharpen this took is excellent.

Hurricane Bowl Scraper
This is without a doubt the best value in a tool that I have seen in a long time. This scraper is massive and heavy. Buying it with a left side curve makes easy work out of finishing the interior of a bowl. I am going to buy the right hand scraper next. Good Work!
