The SK80 Type C screw chuck is a convenient method for mounting a turning blank onto the lathe without having to remove the chuck. The stepped mounting plate locates securely into the recess of SK80 internal grip. The screw is stainless steel with a deep sharp thread for a positive and secure hold. It only requires the drilling of a shallow hole in the blank. Using this method means the inside and outside of the finished bowl must be concentric. A replacement screws are available. Made from stainless steel to protect against corrosion.
