Axminster tool rests are an economical way of adding to your woodturning enjoyment. Sometimes a project comes along, which means the tool rest supplied with the lathe is either too long or too short. The tool rest gets in the way of the tailstock, when turning pens, light pulls or similar items. A longer project can entail constantly moving the lathe banjo to reposition the tool rest, which is not good for a smooth tool transition along the length of the piece.
Features:- These tool rests are strong cast iron with a 45° slope allowing for a variety of tool grips whilst maintaining close control. The top of the tool rest has a rounded profile allowing a tool to glide smoothly along the length.
- The tool rests are available in different lengths with either 16mm (5/8") or 25.4mm (1") diameter stems, both stem sizes are 80mm long. They will fit many different lathes; simply measure your present stem before ordering to get the correct fit.
- Get the correct length tool rest for the job.
